Former Republican-turned-Independent-turned Democrat Charlie Crist, interviewed with MSNBCs Ed Schultz this week and stated that he would raise taxes, if he was elected Governor of Florida in 2014.
Here is the exchange between Ed Schultz and the one-time I am pro-life, Im pro-gun, Im pro-family and Im anti-tax Charlie Crist.
Schultz: What do you think about Floridas finances, and what do you expect out of the wealthiest residents?
Crist: I think we both have to expect more of each other. I dont like to raise taxes. I dont think that anyone really enjoys the idea of doing that, I did it as Governor.
Schultz: Would you do it again?
Crist: If necessary, I would.

The people of Florida have been forewarned.
They will get what they elect.
Charlie is for mostly anything, that polls show trends. If alien probes were popular among the over-sixty crowd....he’d advocate more alien probes.
If a trend showed a need for sixty thousand new dog-catchers in Florida....he’d advocate hiring them.
If a trend showed some segment of Florida society wanted to award state recognition to imaginary elves....Charlie would support it.
If a trend demonstrated public appeal of free Big Macs for high school drop-outs....Charlie would work to make it happen.
That’s what makes him so appealing....he’s mostly for nothing, unless the trends and polls show otherwise. If the polls said that sixty percent of the public would vote for Charlie....if he’d wear a wig and skirt to work each day....Charlie would even do that.
The democrats and their minions in the newspaper rags are driven to rid the world of Republicans at any level of government regardless of the cost; Gov. Scott has done a magnificent job as Governor and yes, there have been times when he has been too liberal. On the whole he has been a good Governor. However, were a democrat now in that post, Florida would be having ruinous monetary problems.
It’s a real eye-opener when politicians and bureaucrats at all levels of government from local village all the way up to Federal all think of the working and property owning citizens as ATM’s that they can impose taxes and more new taxes on at whim. The concept of budget and living within a set financial framework and having to make sacrifices as well as saving for future unknown problems just doesn’t enter their minds. They embody the ultimate childhood personality traits of ME, ME, ME! and I WANT IT NOW!
Well he’s a Democrat now. They have to deal with him.
I don’t think Rick Scott can beat Crist...Scott needs to be primaried for a better candidate
All Crist has to say is “I’m for the 2d Amendment” and Scott loses...after his nonsense over Trayvon Martin.

I know nothing about him but sounds to me like he is a bit schizophrenic.
First Question: Can the Governor raise taxes all by himself?
Doubtful...
A Democrat wanting to raise taxes. Now there’s a surprise
I don’t think anyone will run against Scott in the primary, too much money and the party won’t support the challenge. Of course he can beat Crist. Scott is over 40% in popularity and job rating is higher and growing. He has a ton of cash and Crist will get destroyed on flipping with the wind. Florida economy is improving and he several big wins in bringing business to Florida, has over 35 million in funds ready and last time spent 100 million to win the race. For the Dems to win they will have to spend over a 100 million and that is not going to happen.
He would also form a Floridian Stazi.
This reminds me of when Lowell Weicker took out a full page ad in the New York Times (which only got largish circulation in rich Fairfield County) stating he was not FOR a state income tax.
Six months later he refused to pass a budget without one.
“When Democrats say “If necessary, I would,” that is CODE for “Hell yes! With relish!” “
It is ALWAYS necessary. To them, it will ALWAYS be necessary.
yeah...THAT’LL getcha elected!!! (sarc/)
Why not 100% tax?
Don’t the Marxists believe that everything belongs to the government?
Spoken like a true RINO. At least he’s not hiding it now.
Ole Charlie Hypocrist at it again!
Totally disagree. Or, are you one of the "I hate Rick Scott, for whatever reason" folks?
