After all these years, Anthony Lynn still remembers. The words had been a slap in the face -- and the beginning of the end to his boyhood dream. Before he rushed for more than 1,900 yards and 17 touchdowns as a Celina, Texas, high school junior and won back-to-back Super Bowls as a running back with the Broncos in the 1997 and '98 seasons, Lynn played quarterback from the Pop Warner level all the way through middle school. But one demoralizing conversation with a former coach changed the course of his playing career. "I'll never forget a guy telling a 13-year-old: 'Black guys can't play quarterback,' " said Lynn, now 44, the assistant head coach and running backs coach for the Jets. "It was so ignorant. That came out of a grown man's mouth -- to a kid . . . I was disappointed. But I wasn't going to let that stop me from playing."

Problem Solved!
Save it for February!
Rush Limbaugh was right. “The MSM are hungry for a successful black quarterback.” It still has not happened barring the one Super Bowl and that was an aberration.
I cry myself to sleep many nights thinking of how Blacks just don’t have a fair shake in sports. Especially sports with sprinting and jumping. /s
Wouldn't it be wonderful to have the MSM simply report facts? Instead, they have desired outcomes and they manipulate everything they possibly can to get the outcome that will make them feel good about themselves.
A very corrupt institution.
The way my Seahawks are playing, it could well happen this year. Then the whining will be that the QB isn't "black" enough.
and on it goes....
He was funny. Sucks that he died.
It’s difficult to blame the pros for the lack of black qbs for many years. Because until the last ten-fifteen years or so there were few major colleges that had black qbs. Do they think fans would be upset with a black qb who was better than a white qb? Fans want winners...whatever color.
Lol.
I read an article about that some time ago. White RB’s and DB’s are told to play other positions or just not recruited.
I would say not a lot. There are simply far more fast black players than there are white players. And the speed of the fastest white players still trails the speed of most fast black players. Most of the football players in the U.S. are white. Do you think any major college would turn down an extra fast white player? Of the tens of thousands of white high school football players in my area who've played over the last half century, there's only been one who started at halfback for a major college (and had a tryout with the pros), and he was extra fast. The fastest player to ever come out of this area. That was fifty years ago.
Fifty years ago there were virtually no black residents in my area. Since then, there has been a trickling of black residents into the area. Now this season two of the local football teams had black running backs, and both backs had great seasons. They were very fast. And the black population is less than 1% of the metro population.
But the one football position where whites and blacks will be about equal is qb. Because although, black athletes are faster on average than whites, arm strength is about the same.

“The NFL is Entering the Golden Age of Black Quarterbacks”
...A record was set this past [September] week in the NFL, but you probably didnt hear about it. Nine African-Americans started at quarterback. Seven of them were drafted in the last three years, starting with Cam Newton going 1st overall in 2011...
>> It still has not happened barring the one Super Bowl and that was an aberration.<<
Williams was a pocket passer, not a converted RB (as with dang near all Black QBs).
And after he won, the racist MSM quietly declared him too ugly to be featured and he silently sunk into ignominy.
And RGIII is NOT a pocket passer.
And the above-mentioned Newton just won the Monday night game.
