Actually, this is part of the whole sales pitch. His voice intonation and controlled mannerisms are, in my opinion, part of a practiced persona - to sound reasonable and be reassuring. It has worked, on a large number of people.
He is so used to lying he uses incorrect figures all the time. I wonder how much he would say his wife weighs.

The Messiah is going for a quick fix to address the health care needs of 80% of the people. Assume the population is 313 million, 20% of that is 62.6 million who he plans to make shovel ready. All this to help out the 30 or so million who don’t now have health care. Oh, and cost goes up.
I’m looking for the least little shred of sense in all this; so far I’m finding zip, nada, zilch!
Demonstrates the man has no grasp of numbers and what they mean. None of us would choose that number, 100 million, off the top of our head, no matter how tired. His brain does not register that 100 million is 1/3rd of the entire country.
