Why isn’t this a Drudge Siren? If this were Bush it would be the lead story. Dan Rather would come out of retirement for it. The only thing that surprised me about their ‘fun with numbers’ was that they didn’t end up making the number even lower.
I fully expected them to say it was down to 6.9 just to get it under the 7 point number prior to the election.
Remember, the census was moved from Commerce to the White House in 2010.
