[Obama supporter] Alan Blinder...purports to tell us..Obamacare is still worth it. "America cannot be a humane society if we leave 15% of our population uninsured...."
I agree....But in context, his quoted statement above could not be more silly....
Alan, is Princeton so intellectually corrupt these days that no one there has noticed that the effect of Obamacare so far has been to INCREASE the number of uninsured by millions and millions of Americans?

To say they disrupted health care for 10’s of millions of working people to give insurance to a few million nonworking people is probably the understatement of the year. The ultimate outcome, by design, was the transfer of wealth.

I’ve been trying to make this point and hoping the media would catch on to it as well. Amid the other broken promises, lower cost, keep you insurance, keep you doctor, more people covered.....
Obamacare is actually FORCING MORE people to not have insurance. It is exacerbating what was once a fictional problem we had.

Humane is defined in terms of compassion and benevolence. However, no government program can ever be humane. Everything the government has it has taken from someone else - someone who was forced to surrender it. So all those wonderful subsidies? Yeah, the spoils of coercion. That is not humane, to make one person or group suffer in order to benefit another.
If we weren't so burdened by taxes, fees, and regulations compliance gosh, we might actually have some disposable income to give directly to charity, gasp, invest in our businesses or other's businesses creating jobs and reducing the number of people being charity. But as long as big government continues to bleed the economy dry...

The delayed employer mandate is now scheduled to kick-in on 1/1/15. Any employer planning to bail on providing health-care is required to give a 90 day notice, so those notices would have to go out prior to the Nov '14 elections. This would be an absolute rat killer.
Even Harry Reid will be begging for total repeal.
