Pelosi: 'Yeah, When People See What Is in the Bill, They Will Like It'
November 18, 2013 - 6:26 AM By Susan Jones
(CNSNews.com) - Despite the chaos and confusion trailing the rollout of Obamacare, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says she stands by her famous words in March 2010, when she told the American people, "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it."
"What I was saying there is we are a House and a Senate; we get a bill; we go to conference or we ping-pong it, and then you see what the final product is. However, I stand by what I said there. Yeah, when people see what is in the bill, they will like it, and they will.
"And so while there's a lot of hoopdey-doo and ado about what's happening now -- very appropriate -- I'm not criticizing. I'm saying it took a great deal for us to pass this bill. I said as we go up to the gate and the gate is locked, we'll unlock the gate; if we can't do that, we'll climb the fence; if the fence is too high, we'll pole vault in; if we can't do that, we'll helicopter in, but we'll get it done."
Pelosi told NBC's "Meet the Press with David Gregory" on Sunday that the first phase of Obamacare -- coverage of pre-existing conditions and children remaining on their parents' policies until age 26 -- "went very smoothly." She admitted that the dysfunctional website "has caused problems."

None here either
Mrs. Pelosi, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Bat Crazy, Politicians really should be required to take mental health tests prior to each election, more often for Senators.
“we go up to the gate and the gate is locked, we’ll unlock the gate; if we can’t do that, we’ll climb the fence; if the fence is too high, we’ll pole vault in; if we can’t do that, we’ll helicopter in, “
Once in, they find a snake pit.
What is downright frightening is that the Dems voted her to be Speaker of the House.
She is nuts. Almost completely incoherent. It’s as if we are speaking a different language.
Is somebody putting psychotropic drugs in her beverages?
Have you listened to the ramblings of the average Democrat representative? Islands tip over, we need helium for children’s birthday parties, we sent a man to mars, North and South Vietnam etc. it explains why Pelosi is their prefect leader.
Gillibrand just let the cat out of the bag yesterday...confirming what many, but not all, folks assumed at the time and that is that the *Rats* knew from the very start what was in the bill. That famous statement of hers was meant to mislead The Great Unwashed into believing that given its complexity even *Congress* didn't know what was in it.
The opposite of what Nancy Pelosi said is true. The more people see of what is in this bill and how much it will cause the working person, the more they will tend to vote Republican.
David Gregory was rambling on later, after they gave pelosi the hook, how insurance companies were needlessly raising rates
That fix is also on
Anyone who thinks republicans and also insurance co s are not going to be blamed are as crazy as this woman
I just got an earful of hate the other day ‘if republicans would stop taking our money’.
Why are the takers allowed to vote if they’re too incompetent to support themselves?
Did David Gregory ever ask her if she read it?
Every time this woman opens her mouth, it just confirms what I already know...
Nancy Pelosi is bat sh— crazy!
She is officially the stupidest person in Congress! (Both houses, since the other idiot was promoted to VP.)
Yeah Ms. Pelosi since we’ll like it so much why aren’t you on the same plan?
- NAZI PELOSI -
We are the rubes and marks in their con.
Ugh. They’re going to pay crazily with printed monopoly money to those they can for bribes in the 2014 campaigns and they will have the takers hating the insurance co s, even hating doctors, and the republicans will be like the looney tunes baby vulture as usual.
Wisdom would dictate educating these or at least some people on the advantages of rejecting taking with no regard for the health of the economy, and duty to country.
What Congress and the Senate need is term limits:
1. Tree
2. Rope
3. Assembly required
4. Repeat as many times as necessary
5. Tell replacements the same term limits apply to them
