Cruz: Other shoe hasn’t dropped; what’s next for Obamacare is worse
bizpacreview.com ^ | 11/17/2013 | Michael Dorstewitz

Earlier this week, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, described a few additional unintended consequences that we can expect with the Affordable Care Act’s rollout, and as he describes it, as bad as it’s been so far, we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg.

“The five million who have lost their health care now is just the beginning of this,” he begins. You’re going to see more and more people who can’t keep their doctor.”

For example, he noted that Texas Oncology, which he described as “one of the very best cancer centers in Texas,” will not be accepting Obamacare patients.

Cruz then predicted that that premiums will rise significantly in the spring because an inadequate number of healthy policyholders will be signed up.

“We’ve seen sticker shock already as premiums have gone up,” he said. “But the next wave of premiums is likely to go up dramatically.”

But the “most damaging” effect will be suffered by the “90 million plus people who have employer=provided health care.”

It will be the healthy people who will be subsidizing the un-healthy ones. At least those that will sign up.

I will be amazed if our personal retirements are not raided before zero’s term is up.

There is yet another shoe to drop that still isn’t being discussed: the “po” are mostly on a cash economy. There is no way you can get Obamacare for cash. Even if they sign up, they cannot pay, and don’t pay taxes, so they won’t get a refund . . . to deduct the payment from.

Wait till people start dying - dropping like flies because their health insurance was commandeered. Picture this scenario: Kidney dialysis patients - no more dialysis. Patients who need 24 hour care - no more care. Cancer patients getting treatment - no more treatment. What we are facing is a possible holocaust for an entire population courtesy of liberals who worship communism which in itself is responsible for 100 million deaths in the past 80 odd years - 4 times the amount the Nais were responsible for. Good going low info voters. Now you get to learn the hard way what everyone else knew all along: Commies kill people dead.

They've been aiming at that juicy, juicy peach called 401K for many years.

Let's see...they recently took mortgages, student loans, the healthcare industry...

People aren't going to get care when they need it because takers will overwhelm the system getting all of their "free stuff".

Heal thyself.

The tsunami hasn’t hit yet. The water is receding, the sirens are blaring, people are scrambling for higher ground, but when it’s all over millions will be swept away.

The 5% that Obama was talking about.

Oh, you think you're one of those lucky ones that this year still have your plan and your doc?   Good for you!   What about having schedule access to those docs and services once every 60 days or so instead of the every-other-week you have come to know you need?

A lot more people than died in Benghazi will be losing their loved ones prematurely when these things hit the fan!

There it is. They don’t pay their rent so why pay their OdumboCare?

Hillary a while back wanted to confiscate 401(k) plans for the government; wanted to pay back just 3% of its worth to the retirees.

Your is an accurate post that others keep shying away from.

Grandma’s will die.

Even the poor with free Medicaid will suffer when the rationing hits and those on long term health care are shut off and given the blue pill.

I hope by that time Obama is somewhere where he can be reached by the families of those who had a few good years left if Obamacare had not killed them.

Our premiums have already gone up on our employee sponsored HSA Policy. This is a High deductible policy with an HSA. It has a $2,500 per person deductible, or $5,000 per family BEFORE it will pay anything. Our part of the premiums have gone from $118 per pay to $139 per pay an increase of 15%.

I fully expect that our plan will be cancelled next year and we will be at the mercy of the exchanges.

We have five children. Four at home one in heaven and a vast amount of medical expenses.

I am sure we are not alone. This is an epic disaster and I expect to go off on at least one relative this Holiday season for voting for this idiot and foisting this madness on us due to ignorance and stupidity!

They already have a plan for that called a GSE. It is sitting on a desk somewhere waiting for the QE printing press to run out of ink.
