Temp went from 40 to 80 yesterday, here in TX. It wasn’t a violent transition, but, geeze that Is remarkable

The fastest temp change I have witnessed was in Nebraska in ‘82 when it dropped from 90 to 40 in a half hour during a tornado warning.
The high this morning was 78 just west of St Louis.
