The Oprah Winfrey saga is sad. A talented black woman embarks on a television talk show career and is adored by millions of people black and white, and became very wealthy doing so. She broke away from the pack. Defied racial stereotypes... and ultimately reveals herself as a resentful prisoner of her own prejudices. Just sad.
You can take the black out of the ghetto, but you will never get the ghetto out of the black.
