Earlier this evening, Steve asked whether President Obama is any good at politics. A fair question. Here is another: Does Obama have any idea what is going on in his own administration?
When President Obama speaks off the cuff, he is often revealing, if you can penetrate his trademark incoherence. I found this riff from today’s press conference to be particularly interesting:

One of the books on Chappaquiddick describes how the Kennedy brain trust gathered at the family compound in Hyannis Port to plot a strategy to salvage Ted Kennedy’s career. One person conspicuously absent from the conclave was Teddy himself. He was on the beach, flying a kite. The family’s advisers considered him too stupid to make any contribution to saving his own skin. Is that how senior members of Obama’s administration treat him? Is he considered a useless fifth wheel? Or was Obama just lying once again when he suggested that his administration’s decision to bring about the cancellation of most individual health care policies, and half or more group-sponsored policies, was just a “fumble,” an inadvertent failure to do a better job “in drafting the rules?”

He isn’t stupid—just corrupt up the yazoo. I bet the IRS was his idea—as was the closure of the WW II Monument, even the Gove shuntdown was his idea—so he could blame the GOP. He pretends to know nothing because if we knew the depth of the coruption we would run him out of town on a rail.

He has no idea about anything and it’s not his administration. It’s President Jarret’s!
His excuse to every tragic blunder by these ‘tards has always been: ‘Presidentin’ while blonde!’, so I’d say, “Well, no—duh!”

It’s hard for him to keep up with whatever Valerie Jarrett is doing running the country.
He ran unopposed for the senate. The republicans roll over for him. The first time anyone ever pushed back appears to be the Tea party, and then foreign leaders like Putin.
He became president with no useful soft skills that are required at and executive level, whether in business or government. He has zero negotiating skills. He has zero people skills. He has zero business experiance.
I don’t believe Obama knows how to fly a kite.
And that’s the reason I often refer to him as zero -

He was so smart he would learn on the job.
How’s that all working out for the dims now?
