LOL
good one :P
Turned it off. Bad radio.
He is talking obozocare now. Thought he wasn’t gonna talk it?
As a member of a small portion of the audience, I cannot guess how small, we think it is interesting when Dr. Savage talks about matters of his discipline.
Personally I think that it is absolutely fascinating that we are simply a mass of chemical reactions -- scientists do not yet understand anywhere near all of it.
1. I can if I wish arrange to be in the company of people of my race most of the time.
2. I can avoid spending time with people whom I was trained to mistrust and who have learned to mistrust my kind or me.
3. If I should need to move, I can be pretty sure of renting or purchasing housing in an area which I can afford and in which I would want to live.
4. I can be pretty sure that my neighbors in such a location will be neutral or pleasant to me.
5. I can go shopping alone most of the time, pretty well assured that I will not be followed or harassed.
. . .
47. I can travel alone or with my spouse without expecting embarrassment or hostility in those who deal with us.
48. I have no difficulty finding neighborhoods where people approve of our household.
49. My children are given texts and classes which implicitly support our kind of family unit and do not turn them against my choice of domestic partnership.
50. I will feel welcomed and "normal" in the usual walks of public life, institutional and social.
AND NOW THANKS TO AN EMPLOYEE OF A MAJOR UNIVERSITY WE FIND:
I will always be a winner in life's genetic lottery!
Excellent promo for his new time slot. (And watch it hit the fan.)
So there are 41 others ? Where can I read them?
Apparently he doesn’t think it’s an important enough topic. If he doesn’t discuss what people want to hear, he won’t last long in his new time slot.

That’s very interesting. But I’m assuming that it was written by a white person, so they are only guessing, they don’t know what it’s like to be in the skin of a person of color. I wouldn’t take it to seriously unless I heard a good cross-section of people of color weigh in on it. I’m guessing that band-aids aren’t high on most people’s worry list, and they make those clear band-aids now. But I could be wrong. And a lot of these things are true for other “genetic lotteries”, for example men vs. women, ugly women vs. beautiful women, etc. It’s interesting that the writer cites affirmative action as a source of resentment, but it would be interesting to know if he or she still supports affirmative action. I have experienced prejudice in the sense of “pre-judgement” for being conservative, Christian and poor. I’ve been the token conservative in many groups Ive been in and some workplaces. I realize that isn’t a genetic lottery, but I lived as a political minority in Seattle for 20 years and probably lost one job over it. I’ve probably been overlooked for other jobs because of it. It’s difficult to prove, but so is racial bias these days. It also hurts you in the dating world. People claim that if you’re a young woman and beautiful enough men don’t care if you’re a card-carrying fascist, and maybe they don’t for casual sex, but they certainly do for serious girlfriend or wife material.(One bachelorette featured on Seattle magazine for Valentines as one of the sound’s most eligible mentioned Mumia as one of her passions. That would make her ineligible in my book, though she was good looking. And I’m not a man, or a Seattle man)
One place where you can read pages and pages if this stuff is Barack Obamas memoir Dreams from my Father. I got scolded on bookcrossing for calling him race-obsessed, but I stand by it. He’s race-obsessed. I actually do believe that at the stage society is at now, a lot of this will go away if we stop dwelling on it.
And if you want to experience some prejudice regardless of color, go looking poor and badly dressed to an upscale mall or store.
