The stock market did the same in 1929, and I’ve read recently for the same reason, because interest rates were being kept low.

Do you know what strikes me more than anything? It’s that most folks don’t have a clue. They’re fat, dumb, and happy.

I can’t remember, did the President swear to faithfully execute or faithfully exploit the laws?

You'd have to ask John Roberts. Oh, I forgot, he's been compromised also...

EVERYTHING “President” Muhammad Al-Obama DOES is illegal.

obama “granted” all kinds of waivers. Nobody called him on it. obama extended the employer mandate. Nobody called him on it. At the press conference not one reporter asked him how he has authority to tell the insurance companies it’s okay to break the law. Initially, only Howard Dean, of all people, “wondered” if obama has the authority.

And that’s why obama’s team came up with this plan to blame the insurance companies. I wouldn’t bet that it won’t work.

This is going to be weird. The law explicitly states that the plans must meet the standards after 31 December of this year, but it is the regulation whichndefinesmthe standards. If he waives the standards he has the authority...but he doesn’t have the authority to waive the law. If he waives the regulation...or temporarily reverts it...then anyone should be able to apply for any plan that the respective states allow.

Andrew McCarthy has an excellent essay on this at National Review Online.

Two main points.....

First, it is still against the law for insurers to write policies that do not conform to ObamaCare.

Only Congress can change the law, not the president.

Thus, policy owners will have a hundred different ways to sue insurance companies.

Thus, no rational insurer will write a policy that deviates from ObamaCare law.

Second, Obama has grotesquely twisted the meaning of “prosecutorial discretion.”

It is, in fact, a common sense authority granted to the president so that finite resources may be allocated to the most important crimes.

For instance, if there is a sudden increase in heroin use, the president can order the DEA to divert agents away from marijuana crimes and reassign them to heroin cases.

Bottom line.....

Obama is just trying to push responsibility for this political disaster onto insurers, who will not write old policies without a new law.

Then, Obama will ask Congress to rewrite the law, and when Republicans refuse, he and the MSM will try to blame Republicans for blocking his completely bogus solution.

Well, you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t, or if you do after you don’t, or if you don’t after you do, or something like that.

After the insurers refuse to write illegal policies, there is one more shoe to drop.

Obama will ask Congress to write a waiver into ObamaCare.

When Republicans refuse, Obama will blame the GOP for his catastrophe.
