Actually, I would agree with this statement. Having sat through several dozen incredibly dumbed down insurance explanations as an employee, I'd guess that a fair percentage of people look at their benefits and just pick the cheapest one. Heck, I'm no dummy and I need to take a few minutes every year to read things overs and weigh the pros and cons.

However, the fact that people are idiots doesn't mean that they need to be pushed into a single payer "State Knows Best" system. No winners there, you just take what you get and be thankful for it.

If anything, a population of idiots should encourage more privatization, as the ins. companies will have added incentive to better explain what they offer....or lose customers.

The low information voter predominate. They are easy to control and manipulate. I see this a threat to our Republic, Isn't it any wonder that the politicians think they can do whatever they want?

People get the government they deserve. Obama is the result.
