Obama has no liking for anyone who shows the least opposition to him or his positions and will do everything he can to remove them.

After all he is the Messiah.

The president “appreciates” candid military advice “above all else,”

I just feel all warm and fuzzy knowing the CiC has a close relationship with his generals etc. Stupid me. I was thinking he wanted to be rid of the ones who would not follow orders to shoot civilians when the time comes. I rest assured now that all is well and he is probably golfing and even having rose garden beer fests with the officers.

Excuse me from any further comments today. I am off to buy ocean front property in Arizona just as soon as I send a bank money order to a distant cousin who has had his passport and all of his money stolen in a foreign country.

The article is a devastating indictment of the sheer incompetency of the 0 junta, but more so speaks to a certain level of paranoia. The reader comments at the presumably left-wing site are interesting.

Agreed. The worship, by the American people, of egalitarianism has elevated into positions of authority the stupid who are also cursed with poor impulse control. We may have reached the point where we may need a military coup, which of course would be the formal end of the republic. So very sad.

Too many people think our admirals and generals are all like Schwarzkopf. They aren’t. And all most people know about Schwarzkopf was what they saw at the press conferences. Look at the Navy. They haven’t had a serious naval battle in 60 or 70 years. How do you get ahead in the Navy? Do they promote people based on their performance in combat? Nope. They are promoting people based on other criteria. The same with the Army. They haven’t seriously maneuvered Corps and Armies for decades. Except for a few weeks, the Army hasn’t really maneuvered Brigades and Divisions in the past several decades. So, how do you pick your admirals and generals?
“Old Dave sure turned his Division around and hit those krauts hard!”
“Dave’s Division had the lowest number of sexual harassment claims.”
You get more of what you reward and less of what you punish.
