Obama's plan was to spit out a wall of words for Dems and MSM to pick and choose from, while simultaneously setting up the healthcare insurers for being too greedy and un-American when they tell the public that they cannot put the toothpaste back in the tube and re-issue the same policies they just cancelled.
Andy McCarthy had a good line (paraphrase): Obama might as well say you can keep your BetaMax if you like it.
