I would not be surprised to see Obama impeached and removed from office over this. A scapegoat is going to be needed, and he’s looking like the obvious choice.
It’s pretty much like the Republican Congressmen who trudged to see Richard Nixon in the depths of Watergate. The President is hurting the party “brand.” Whatever the party, its members don’t particularly like that. Especially in a (midterm) election year.
You nailed that. I agree. I don't listen to these people that say the senate would never convict. It would take a new senate - yes, and the investigation and articles of impeachment wouldn't even be ready for another year from now. . . There is more coming.

I believe he will either be forced to resign or be inpeached over this.
The best we could hope for is a sudden disclosure of some health issue within his family and his resignation in order to spend more time with them.
Biden or Boehner would serve out his term and Hillary would be elected in a landslide of Democrat partisanship to *save America from the evil GOP*.
