In ghetto culture, snitching is verboten. Assuming these are ghetto types, both shooters and victims, that could be why nobody is talking.

That amazes me. People get shot, and killed in drive by shootings and other violence. But it always turns out that nobody saw anything, nobody knows anything, nobody can testify in court, nobody can be a witness to anything legally, etc.

Yet the local news always manages to find someone in the neighborhood that is crying crocodile tears, emotionally stating the "something has to be done about this violence." Usually blaming/inferring that the police aren't doing enough, the rest of us aren't providing enough money, aren't doing enough, and, by God, something has to be done!

Never ever taking a good look and honest examination of their own lives and who brought these kids into the world without fathers and who raised them. And learning from their experiences and passing the truth on to their offspring.
