They need to get a double barreled shotgun....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sW2I5LS08H8
most women should carry a revolver. Less maintenance (cleaning, etc). Internal “safety”(no need to “fumble” with a lever, is it “on”/”off”?) No “jamming”, fires all the time every time. Just point and shoot
The LCR is a five shot revolver with a 1.8” barrel. Very compact, and so light that you can carry one without even feeling it.
Perhaps, but a lot of ladies are buying larger caliber pistols too.My wife carries a PX4 in .45ACP and has the skills to use it effectively.
Re: Ruger LCR revolver - I've probably shot about 500 rounds of 38 special/38 sp. +P and it's smooth a butter - not a hand smaker at all, in fact I think it's less recoil with those than shooting my 9mm Sig. With .357 it's a bit of a different story but not as bad as you'd think. The grips are very nice and between them and the polymer frame a lot of the recoil is absorbed. I usually shoot mostly .38 at the range (and a few .357 rounds) and keep it loaded with .357 when I carry.
NO, the Ruger LCR has a 5 round cylinder.
The sig 380’s are very well made....double rate of fire over the plastic ones, most come with night sites, accurate as a glock, they look like a little 45.make most the other 380’s out like semifunctional toys.Try one before you buy any of the junk.

Bring it, boy.
My guess is that the 80-some dues-paying members are going to evaporate after the first one or two spring leaks caused by high-velocity lead projectiles.
These yahoos in Washington State think preparing for emergencies simply involves stocking up on guns and ammo to take other peoples supplies.
I wish them the best of luck.
In fact, its why I volunteer my time with groups like Appleseed and U.S. Riflemans Association, teaching everyday Americans the fundamentals of using their firearms effectively. Students can use those skills to defend themselves and their families in event of attack.
In fact, Ive been doing this since before Tyler started puberty.”

I love my LCR, but it is a hand stinger. Every friend of mine who has shot it says the same thing. I learned to reload to get some softer loads for it.
Do you have the LCR .38 or .357? The .357 model is a bit heavier and has beefier grips thus lessening the recoil. It could be just me but I think mine has less recoil than any snubbie I've ever fired.
I have the 38, which is pobably why it stings.
