A Dallas-area man stopped short of apologizing to the family of the man he stabbed to death 22 years ago before being executed Tuesday night.
Jamie Bruce McCoskey, 49, however, did say that there was one thing he would change about the night of Nov. 13, 1991 when he abducted and murdered 21-year-old Michael Keith Dwyer and raped Dwyers 19-year-old pregnant fiancé in Harris County.
If I had it to do again I would change Dwyers parents suffering because I know they are, McCoskey said. I know that is not going to eliminate the pain because I have a child.

Death row was this guy’s, “the best time,” of his life.
He learned to apologize from watching Obama
The murderer; I could not find reliable pics of his murder victim or the victim's fiance he raped (fortunately on that second victim, who is entitled to privacy). I wish it had not taken so long for justice to be served.
22years!!!!
We Texans may judiciously apply the death penalty, but it is not fast enough. 22 years on Death Row is an insult to both the victims and their families.
He was allowed to live 22 years longer than his victim? Ridiculous.
Have the Texas courts apologized for that obscene injustice to the families of the vicims, as well as to all Texas citizens?
991? Better late than never, I guess.
As Paul Harvey used to say, Texas killed a killer.
You very, very bad man...
Another guy with one too many names.
IIRC, the “tear” tattoo celebrates the murder he committed.
You remember correctly.
“If I had to do it again”? That’s not anything resembling an apology.
