Ping!
If you did this to a dog you’d have the humane society asking the prosecutor to indict you.
Horrific. Can you imagine what Obama’s “ethicists” have cook up?
Buddhists for eons have believed that the dead continue
to hear as they begin the death experience. Prayers and
guidence is said repeatedly into their ears for a time.
Works for me. “O Nobly born, what thou art experiencing
is the void blissful and shining...”.
We’re rapidly becoming a very inhumane society. Killers. But what the heck! It ain’t ME! ME! ME! ME! That’s what it’s all about! ME! ME! ME!
Horrifying I’ve always thought that someone who is alive even if on a machine, has some awareness of what’s going on around them.
Dignity...demands care!
The semi-conscious will be second to be brought before the death panels, right after the elderly.
What they did to Schiavo was sick, depraved. They wanted to kill her, but didn’t have the courage to do it in the least painful way possible. And no, I don’t support her killing.
I should post the photo I took a few weeks ago when our son was in ICU. He wrote more than once, “Feed me!” He lost 36 pounds in three weeks in ICU. The “nutritionist” would not bend regarding the number of calories she believed he needed. They also went from him being on constant fluid IVs to nothing but tube feeds with inadequate calories. Son could not speak, but he could write. His begging for food was very difficult to take as a mom. :(
Why do they do this to “vegetative” patients such as Terri Schindler? Why not just give them a shot of chloroform?
Try and find a liberal who actually cares. Diogenes had an easier job.
If you deny a fellow human's humanity and get away with it, you can do anything you want to them.
We have an incredible challenge before us.
Bring me the individual who coined the phrase vegetative state - a human being isn’t a vegetable, unconscious or not. I want to meet them, and rip their arms and legs off. Nah...that would be too good for them.
There’s a lot to be said for taking care of your own at home, no mother would starve her adult unconscious child until they died. And what happened to Terry Chiavo placed a blot on the soul of America which can never be wiped away. Never.
The way to end this nonsense is straightforward: that murderous “caregivers” need to be put on notice by family members that “self defense” also applies to using lethal force to prevent others from being murdered as well. And revenge killing, in the absence of justice, is righteous.
Even the murderous “caregivers” are fully aware of this, and extremely nervous about it. They know what they are doing is wrong, the worst kind of wrong, and that a veneer of legality will never protect them from vengeance.
Eventually, it might even go beyond families, since many who are murdered are helpless and effectively alone. And while the term vigilante is not well applied to someone who carries out such acts of justice, it has been popularized to that definition.
Even the myth that such an executioner exists would do much to persuade the murderous “caregivers” that perhaps what they are doing is not kind nor caring, but imperils their own lives as well. Not worth the price, if they have to pay.
Nurses have been known to confiscate a vase of flowers brought into a hospital for a loved one.
I have to wonder why do “kind, loving people” consider withholding water and nourishment to be humane, yet these same folks just might consider other death inducing options to be inhumane? To me such a view doesn’t make sense. Except that the other options are more obviously violent then death by purposeful neglect appears to be as the victim cannot response.
Bioethics born out of relativistic post-Christian culture cannot come to moral decisions. Unless the first priority is to protect every individual life and the second is to minimize pain as much as humanely possible, the wrong answer will almost always result.
Someone should make jeb bush sit down with this woman and understand what he did to Terry.
Horrible!
