Skip to comments.New York Times’ Obama cheerleading harms the nation

Poor Barack Obama. Ending his fifth year as the worlds most powerful man, he is running out of scapegoats and fairy tales. Blaming George W. Bush has lost its punch, and the ObamaCare debacle is shredding the myths he is competent and honest.
Still, before he rides off into that sunset of self-pity and low poll ratings, he ought to invite his remaining friends over for a heart-to-heart. That way he can tell The New York Times that its fanatical support does him no favors.
Instead, it feeds his arrogance and reinforces his belief that he can solve any problem with another speech. The unflattering truth doesnt stand a chance until it is too late.

I heard somewhere the other day that the NY Times is the only paper he reads. Which would be just sad.
Of course he reads the NYT. Gotta get that daily ubber ego boost during breakfast.
Somehow I doubt nobama spends much time reading Brietbart or the various incarnations of The Examiner.
Go!... Obama. Go!... Obama!
The rest of the mainstream media is no better.
Not one of them has done a days worth of honest reporting since he starting his campaign for the Presidency.
Brietbart would be an excellent addition to his breakfast table.
The Examiner, OTOH, is rarely worth the network packets it consumes as it spews its popups and malware. I have no use for The Examiner -- the same or better information is available elsewhere at lower risk.
Just sayin'... to each their own.
The New York Slime couldn’t increase circulation if it printed it’s copy on toilet paper.
He doesn’t read the NYT like we don’t watch MSNBC. It’s human nature.
Thanks Michael Goodwin ... thanks for speaking truth to arrogant power... Maybe Times jerks will open their ears... ( always possible... right?)
Unfortunately Obama isn’t riding off into the sunset anytime soon. He still has three years and lots of “flexibility” to “fundamentally transform” America.
No other media...Washington Post...LA Times...CBS.....has been so in the tank for Obama as the NY Times.
What is Obama’s Freeper screen name? Just curious.(/S)
Raging against the dying of the light.
Yet the Times, especially its editorial page, remains his most devoted cheerleader.
Raging against the dying of the light.
The Gray lady is a bitter clinger.
That phrase would be “belief that he can solve any problem” with the emphasis on ANY as opposed to “problem”.
i.e. “any” as opposed to “no”.
I don’t think he reads the NYT either. The only thing he reads is a teleprompter.
Speaking of pMSNBC. I've seen ads that they've remade themselves, apparently, into something that is even more delusional than it was last before.
I doubt that Obama spends any time reading any newspaper. And I doubt that he watches the news on any network. He might watch some entertainment on some of the alphabet network stations. But, I think he is just informed by Michelle, Jarrett, or his staffers what is printed in papers or what is said on TV about him, or clips they provide to him. In which case, it is mostly (and probably only) positive comments that they feed him. They know he is easily depressed, and his ego cannot bear any criticism. And I am sure ne never watches FOX and only hates it because he has been told to hate that network. Now, Michelle, she’s different. She watches TV a lot...and she tells the networks what she does not like and does not want to see.
He hits Obama almost every week!
He may read his golf score card, but I’m betting he lies to it too.
But there is a triumvirate that is among the worst. That is the New York Times, The Washington Post, and the LA Times. Papers from this bunch isn't worth wiping your butt with. As for TV Cable. MSNBC, and CNN are the trash of the airwaves.
