Rush and Levin support Cruz on the air because they are all on the same side, fighting for the country.

Cru went on Leno, because he has to face the enemy.

He was in enemy territory. I don’t, wouldn’t, presume to give him a grade.

He was a champion debater at Princeton and, later, as solicitor general of Texas, he argued nine cases to the US Supreme Court. Here are Jay’s educational credentials:

“...his high school guidance counselor recommended that he drop out of school, he later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in speech therapy from Emerson College”

Jay treated Ted Cruz like he was just another lobbyist target looking to score points against Obama, and Jay treated, his audience like they were not there, wanting more elaboration from Cruz on those answers, ignoring their applause.

I wouldn’t treat Anyone with those credentials with a lack of respect as Jay did. Jay’s guest musician had the presence of mind to pay Cruz his due respect.

And it’s Jay, not Cruz, who is so used to adoring fans, he wouldn’t know what to do in the face of an adversary except quit and go home to the savings from his $tens of millions per year.

To give him a grade one would have to first define his goal and then determine whether he achieved it.

And Sen Cruz stood before the Senate, arguing solidly to defund Obamacare. I can’t imagine why one would go out of their way to misrepresent him as having shrugged off Obamacare as the law of the land after that.

You can't imagine why Leno would try to misrepresent Cruz? Surely you jest!

As for a "grade", it's MY grade, with respect to whether or not Sen. Cruz can effectively advance conservative policies and maybe, just maybe, help right this sinking ship called the USA that we are on.* I'm a US citizen; I have every presumption in the world (or at least the US) to grade those who hold office, serve the public, etc.

*We should hope that is Cruz's "goal" too. His choice of goals is part of what we should grade him on.

This sort of grading has both objective and subjective components, so obviously other's assessments will vary. I was merely trying to explain the reasoning behind my assessment.

"In enemy territory"? What better way to find out what he's really made of, in terms of swinging voters to our side?

Cru went on Leno, because he has to face the enemy.

I absolutely agree (see the above.)

Boo-hoo-hoo

Leno asked Cruz real questions that he would get in a national race in the real world.
That's completely different than hiding on talk radio and being praised by the choir.

And Cruz didn't do bad at it. And its great practice.

I know facing reality is tough but we are forced to live on the planet Earth.

From my same post:

“And it’s Jay, not Cruz, who is so used to adoring fans, he wouldn’t know what to do in the face of an adversary”

And from #221:

“Scary impressive and graceful

Bush strove for the gentlemanly approach. This is gentlemanly fighting, which we are due.

Blew Jay away.”

This thread is two weeks old. What, are you; looking for a fight?

Oh. 1:48 AM.

Ok.

Now I see.

Just because you’ll be reading this much later than when you wrote your obnoxious post, and Lo I can cut and paste for later, and cite this post, in case you want to continue this ridiculous point:

Ted Cruz ran against Bush Boy, Dewhurst, in Texas, a year ago. Bush Boy, in case you don’t know, means all the money and popularity among the big money.

Dewhurst was the acting Lt Governor, Perry’s.

Cruz was debate CHAMPION at Princeton. That entails, in case you are unaware, as you were of my previous posts, and the spirit behind them, as I imagine you did not read the entire thread before shooting off, here, debating adversaries.

Following is a review of just his short time as Solicitor General of Texas. Do you think he can’t take on Leno, or that people here, who pay attention, think he can’t?

Appointed to the office of Solicitor General of Texas by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott,[4][42] Cruz served in that position from 2003 to 2008.[20][36]

Cruz has authored more than 80 United States Supreme Court briefs and presented 43 oral arguments, including nine before the United States Supreme Court.[4][12][22] Cruz’s record of having argued before the Supreme Court nine times is more than any practicing lawyer in Texas or any current member of Congress.[43] Cruz has commented on his nine cases in front of the U.S. Supreme Court: “We ended up year after year arguing some of the biggest cases in the country. There was a degree of serendipity in that, but there was also a concerted effort to seek out and lead conservative fights.”[43]
