Like so many of Irish descent, I've hit the brick wall.
I know when my (paternal) gg-GFer emigrated to the US (1851), but can't find Irish records for him, his parents and/or his siblings, if any existed.
So I turned to DNA and oddly enough, have found out more about my maternal side which I already traced back to 1500 England.
Go figure.
