In many of these discussions, people focus on the premium rise, and rarely mention the other factors that are degraded, like deductible and maximum out of pocket cost. I wonder if Dylan’s policy is “better” as well as more expensive?

I bet he's covered for maternity care and abortions. He's also approved for annual pelvic exams.

These multi-thousand dollar deductibles are terrible! Having a deductible that is way more than one can hope to pay is virtually the same thing as not having any insurance at all.
