Susana has to run for re-election next year and this and similar expressions of her being a VP candidate in 2016 won't help her win re-election. The local Rats, with infusions of out-of-state money, will have a field day using statements like this against her and touting her as only a place-holder until running in 2016 for VP. As for Susana, she repeatedly states that she is focused only on running for re-election and serving the state for another four years. Of course, even if she is completely sincere, it could be pointed out that her statement is what every candidate, Pub or Dem, say when their re-election would occur before a possible future campaign for public office.

And as for Hatch, the senile old RINO should retire back in Utah, the sooner the better. I used to be a fan of his, but after his statement yesterday in a Fox interview ("Cuccinelli would have won if a couple of Senators had not shut down the government.") he's nothing more than an embarrassment or worse a detriment to the people of Utah who elected him.

Christie might be the cat's pajamas to the media now. But if he gets the nomination, he will get the Mitt Romney treatment-- a guy who personally killed people with cancer and turned into a right-wing extremist.

Senator Hatch, like his fellow Mormon from Nevada, is a candidate for a booby hatch.

Sorry, but if Christie is the head of the ticket, I wouldn’t vote for him, even if he picked ME to be his VP.

I might vote for a Martinez / Christie ticket, but only after speaking to her Doctor to make sure she is in absolutely perfect health.

Now, you put up a Cruz / Martinez ticket, and I’ll give them money, and go out and campaign for them.

So Hatch must not like Governor Martinez. If he did, he wouldn’t be trying to tie her to Christie’s beached ship.

Crispy will get Romney’d and Martinez will get Palin’d. I don’t need to see a rerun of that movie.

IIRC, about a decade ago, Hatch was one of those advocating that the law be changed so Ahhhnnnnaaald could run for the presidency after he finished his stint at governor of Kullefonya.

And in the final result, NJ will vote Rat and NM will vote Rat.

In 2012, Ryan didn’t pull in WI and Romney didn’t pull in NH, NV, MA, MI or PA like we were told was going to happen.

Didn’t Geraldine Ferraro point out Obama’s “qualities” and get slammed for it as racist?

Does this mean I get to call Hatch a racist?

I simply don’t understand why Mark Levin supported Hatch’s reelection. Even when Mark explained it (Hatch was apparently a solid conservative at one time), it still didn’t make sense.

How many times do we have to go through this process? How many times do we have to reelect senators who play conservative at election time but go squishy on us for six long years afterwards? When do we learn?

BTW, did you see the articles where Senator Graham is now fighting for a ban on late term abortions? Why, the man is a genuine, conservative stalwart!!! LOL! Sadly, I think he’s going to be very, very hard to beat, because the squishes have this process (of running to the right at election time) down pat.

“Let’s face it: Susana Martinez has a lot of qualities that would help a lot of people to understand that the Republican Party is a broad base party,” Hatch said.

Token female. Check.

Token Hispanic. Check.

RINO checklist complete - let's nominate her!

The gibsmedats are NOT going to be impressed. Better to run plain-spoken candidates who loudly advocate defunding of the professional indolent - that might get many absentee conservatives interested in voting, again.
