Our sorry Society loves to avoid any discomfort, shame or punishment by making sure that any criminal behavior uncovered is then re-regulated, or actually re-legislated so that our sorry Society will forever be protected, since the new rules will guarantee that this punishable incident will go unpunished because it “ - - - will never happen again.”
The Societal Faith in the absolute power of the Federal Government to solve any problem by simply passing a Law or writing a new PC Regulation is unshakable!
It even trumps the US Constitution, every time!
Just think of it: No more Bank Robberies! Just pass a new Federal Law that decrees that “Bank Robberies WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.”
