Too bad. That is the way now. Besides, Agenda 21 says you are to stay in your box.
From what I've gathered, the exchange policies in my state are going to cover only true emergent care when out of area or at a non-network provider, basically similar to EMTALA requirements. No urgent care or "soft" emergencies.
This makes a problem, I’d think, for snow birds. Who aren’t going to be happy when they discover they can vote in more places under Obama than they can obtain healthcare. Also for people on vacation who get hurt or sick away from home.
Of course having both the hospital and your insurance company doing everything they can to declare you "stable" and get you out the door isn't a very comforting situation to be in. And nobody would consider that a better situation than the current nationwide benefits provided by many insurance companies.
