Senate Republicans are spoiling for a fight this primary season as they try to take back control of the party from conservative activists.
-snip-
If super PACs are going to get involved in primaries, there has to be some other people involved in primaries who are interested in actually winning the election in November and not just purifying the party in the primary, said Texas Sen. John Cornyn, who ran the National Republican Senatorial Committee in the past two cycles and faces reelection next year.
With the blessing of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, the hardball plan is already beginning to take shape. Senior Republican officials are privately warning GOP consultants and firms who continue to work with one of their main foes the Senate Conservatives Fund and another GOP ad firm that they wont get contracts from the NRSC. Theyll also be frozen out of McConnells network if they remain hired by their right-wing rival.

GTHGOP
FUGOP!!
This is why I laugh when they call me for support. I tell them exactly why too. Give directly to candidates & cut them off at the knees.
Holy cow.
The Whigs are preparing for war.
Since the Republican party has left me, and the Tea Party is not official yet, maybe I’ll register as an Independent for the time being. Hopefully the Party of Chicken-hearts will stop calling and sending mail.
Acting just like Democrats.
The current behavior of the GOP will lead to the rise of the Tea Party.
FUGOP
I’m a registered ‘R’ and active in party. Want to see it taken by GOP-C from within. Been resisting the path taken by those that have already left the party, and many here at FR. But, I guess everybody has their own time frame... and mine is now, presuming this GOP-e effort has legs.
Defund the GOP. Starve them.
They want our money and our votes, but not our principles.
Yes, let’s play ‘hardball’, for a change, Senator.. instead of TiddlyWinks..
I’ve sent back some rather pointed comments in response to RNC’s pleas for money. If no one donates, they’ll eventually get the message.
Funny how the GOP-e only plays hardball with conservatives and not demoncrats.
Acting just like Democrats.
