Agree with all except in marginal cases. Some may not have known to the penny what they had available themselves. If the overage is under $100 and the transaction size isn’t out of line with past transactions on the same account, just deduct it from their next month’s money and say no more about it. But that begs the more fundamental question: Why are we giving people welfare long term anyway??

I bought some things from Walmart today. I had no idea at the time the prices were a glitch. I thought they were putting stuff on clearance.
Some of the stuff was about 75% off. I bought a couple of big ticket items that I had no idea how much they really went for until the real prices came back online. They were more than 90% off.
So, if Walmart decides to ship these to me and I take them and pay for them is that much different than the EBT looters who Walmart opened up Carte Blanche conveyor belts with full knowledge of what they were doing??? The looters have a good idea how much is on their card. Walmart let them loot the store.
Walmart could have said no. If I owned Walmart stock I would be pissed that they let it happen.
Lots of people looted Walmart today all over the country with the programming error. Some knowingly..some not knowingly like me.
