The British ambassador in Berlin has been called in to Germany's foreign ministry to respond to spying allegations.
The UK's Independent newspaper says the British embassy in Berlin may house a "top-secret listening post".
It cites leaked US National Security Agency (NSA) documents suggesting the UK could be using hi-tech equipment housed on the embassy roof.
Any such activity would be against international law, Berlin says.

LoL!
...as if the Krauts don’t spy on the Brits!
What a bunch of rubbish.
The Germans are just hyper that the Brits have Sky-antennas on the roof and getting free soccer channels.
Course, down the river a bit....is the Chinese embassy, which has the secret submarine port, which has the sub that goes up and down the Spree....gathering data quietly.
Across from the British....is the French embassy, where the bouquet sales guy on the corner has a listening device in his cart and transmits everything back to Paris.
All of this leads back to the secret secret stuff that Germans don’t want to tell you about...their plan to take over Coke and Pepsi.
The problem is inertia.
The spying has been going on since 1945. Inertia says it can’t be stopped once begun.
