The ex-chief of staff for House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) helped Democrat Terry McAuliffe beat Republican Ken Cuccinelli in Virginias gubernatorial election race.
Boyd Marcus, the chief of staff for Cantor until 2003who later teamed with another GOP operative Ray Allen to found the firm Marcus Allen, which Cantor employed until earlier this yearjoined the McAuliffe campaign after Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling, with whom Marcus campaigned, did not win the GOP nominee in Virginia.
I was looking at the candidates, and I saw Terry McAuliffe as the guy who will work with everybody to get things done, Marcus told the Associated Press in August when he joined McAuliffes campaign.

Yeah, sure McAuliffe will “work together”.... with the Clintons and Obama.
And FOR George Soros.
The RNC cut off funds to Cuccinelli after only three million dollars earlier in the year. I saw on another thread the RNC spent 13 million on a statewide race in Virginia previously and that candidate won.
Cuccinelli really couldn’t afford this guy.
Good job, Preibus!
The Republican Party was determined to sink Cuccinelli’s bid for office, because they didn’t want the TEA Party to win. MSNBC was thrilled that he lost, and also focused their attention on an obscure Dist.1 race in AL where the TEA Party candidate lost by two points to the RNC/business-funded GOP candidate as being the way the GOP ought to handles the TEA Party.
Obviously, limited government conservatives have no future in the Republican Party. Let them try to win without conservatives.
Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
