By the sound of the title...it almost makes it sound like their doing it by choice.

I have a bad feeling this train wreck will not be stopped.

“Instead, they are being transitioned to new ACA-compliant policies. This is not a `cancellation’ or a `termination.’ No one is losing coverage.”

Transitioned??? Sounds better than forced into more expensive plans covering things you don’t need and won’t use while subsidizing deadbeats’ plans. I thought Democrats favored “Truth in advertising”.

“This is because their current plans do not meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act,” Sloan said in an emailed statement. “Instead, they are being transitioned to new ACA-compliant policies. This is not a `cancellation’ or a `termination.’ No one is losing coverage.”

Here come the talking points.

Our little weasel governor, Beshear, created a state exchange by executive order (a la 0bama) since he knew he couldn’t get it done through the legislative process. The weasel has been crowing about the greatness of 0bamacare and now Kentuckians are losing their plans and medicaid enrollment is accelerating. The weasel has our state on the fast track to financial ruin.

Why is someone not pointing out that these so-called "subsidies" are just another way of "redistributing" the hard-earned pay of working men and women from one set of individuals to another?

Every time a Democrat is questioned about people losing their insurance policies, they point out, "Oh, but there will be "subsidies" which will make it more affordable."

I posted thos on another thread. I think it is important to measure this mess against the expectations.

Kentucky has been heldup as a success story.
about 5,000 have signed-up for private insurance
about 28,00 have signed-up for Medicaid
http://migration.kentucky.gov/Newsroom/governor/20131101kynect.htm

As a point of reference, 640,000 are uninsured in Kentucky. An estimated 332,000 were thought to be eligible to gain coverage through the exchange. So Ky has enrolled 1.5% of their eligible number.
http://governor.ky.gov/healthierky/Documents/MedicaidExpansionWhitePaper.pdf

Now we see a large number of previously insured people will lose their insurance.
