I don’t think it’s the liberal media programming them.
They just get their positions affirmed by the media.
They have a base assumption of the goodness of their dear leaders who they support,
and a base desire to want to think they are supporting good things,
that it’s going to have to affect them personally and in a harsh manner,
before they give it up.
And sometimes not even then - there are cases (Haiti) of liberal women being raped and blaming everything but the rapist for it.

If they told people their true aims, the would be rejected
immediately. Instead, the pretend to have other aims. They are Marxists, but they call themselves progressives or liberals instead, not because they want power for their ilk, but because they “care about the people”. Nothing could be further from the truth.
