Poll: Lee Bright Becomes Main Challenger to Lindsey Graham
The Republican Liberty Caucus ^ | 10-30-13 | Liberty Caucus Staff

A poll conducted by Harper Polling released today shows US Senator Lindsey Graham remains vulnerable and within the margin of error of being forced into a head-to-head runoff against a conservative challenger in the 2014 South Carolina Republican primary for re-election. Meanwhile, among those vying to replace Graham, South Carolina State Senator Lee Bright has broken away as the main challenger with more support than all others taking on Graham combined.

Lee is the only one running a campaign of sharp, sometimes funny, aggressive attacks against Obama,Reid,Schumer…and running against Graham via that angle. THIS is how you win primaries AND elections….

This campaign to unseat the poseur Little Lindsey is in its early stages and, so far, is going well. I have not read of any of his challengers attacking any of the other RINO Graham challengers but directing any negative comments/advertisements solely in the direction of Graham or his fellow progressives. And the comments I’ve seen so far on FR have also had a similar approach. Let’s keep that up folks. Let’s save our derogatory comments for the one who deserves them—the despicable and duplicitous Lindsey Graham.

He's plain spoken, direct, blunt and has a good sense of humor. Real guy. Hate's obtrusive government. Has been able to pull support of A: libertine leaners B: social conservatives and B: economic conservatives. Very unusual….very very early to the Cruz and Lee bandwagons…VERY early. Has great instincts.

Not so early as you might think: the National Rep Liberty Caucus, a group that jumped in early with Cruz and Lee, has already unanimously endorsed Bright over all other challengers….as has the National office of Gun Rights Across America and a former Graham staffer, not to mention a handful of local tea party groups and so on. The folks who are paying attention know the deal.

Chapter 12 - Okay, What Now? Are We Toast?

We'll never win the Presidency again until we focus on why we must do so. Any focus on "what" leads to temporary, government-centered solutions, whereas a focus on "why" inclines toward permanent liberty.

And winning elections is hard, but it's not complicated. The lessons of history and human nature are very clear: the truth can only be sold with the truth, and the lie can only be sold with the lies. Our cause is right and just, and like all such causes, can only be supported by a courageous defense of the larger truth. Trying to ignore the big ideas (i.e. FREEDOM - Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness) and appealing to voters on the basis of temporal single issues like "jobs and Ohio" ('Hispanic' outreach?) is the coin of a fool's realm. Karl Rove and our establishment consultants are fools and this has been their failed realm for a couple decades. Or maybe we're the fools. Perhaps Rove and his coterie are perfectly happy losing a few games, as long as they have our money to play the game with. Or maybe it's a little of both.

... Excerpted from WTF: How Karl Rove and the Establishment Lost ... Again [C. Edmund Wright]

I thought so. I had heard that Nancy Mace was not ready for prime time.
*******************************************************
I’ve given small donations to the campaigns of both Nancy Mace and Lee Bright. I believe that Bright will almost certainly be the challenger who comes in 2nd place in the primary and thus advance to a runoff with Little Lindsey Graham. But he’ll advance to a runoff ONLY if Graham is kept to below 50% in the primary. EVERY SINGLE CHALLENGER in the primary will serve to achieve this goal

Lindsey Graham and his establishment supporters would like nothing better for the challenger candidates and/or their supporters to begin taking shots at other challengers. Absolutely NOTHING is achieved by that other than to helping out Lindsey Graham by potentially demoralizing the supporters of a challenger.

Please folks, lets save ALL our ammunition for Lindsey Graham. Negativity (even so minor as to say things such as “I heard” that so and so “was not ready for prime time”) is counterproductive. Let’s support the challenger we prefer and be positive toward that preferred challenger but save negative statement for Little Lindsey.

interesting. sounds like bright is a communicator. having a sense of humor is an important rhetorical tool for any conservative.

i’ll just note that if there were a conservative party, that party could choose to endorse bright now, causing the other contenders to see the handwriting on the wall and out themselves as self -promoters by continuing or in the best case, bow out and perhaps throw their support to bright.

just another possible reason why independent conservatives need representation through a unified conservative party, seperate from the two major ones.

The key is to keep Lindsey under 50% in round one….so having multiple contenders is a good thing.

prediction (opinion): the self-promoters will stay in, ad the rest of us will know what they are.

the good, true conservatives will get out. again, good for us. their support would go to bright.

in terms of your point, that’s a wash in terms of numbers and a massive gain for us.

thus i stand on my original point.
