Under Care Act, Millions Eligible for Free Policies
New York Times ^ | November 3, 2013 | By Reed Abelson

Millions of people could qualify for federal subsidies that will pay the entire monthly cost of some health care plans being offered in the online marketplaces set up under President Obama’s health care law, a surprising figure that has not garnered much attention, in part because the zero-premium plans come with serious trade-offs.

Supporters of the Affordable Care Act say that the availability of free-premium plans — as well as inexpensive policies that cover more — shows that it is achieving its goal of making health insurance widely available. A large number of those who qualify have incomes that fall just above the threshold for Medicaid, the government program for the poor, according to an analysis by the consulting firm McKinsey and Company.

Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia has four plans that are free to some customers. But the company, along with other insurers, has been careful not to publicize its free coverage for fear of alienating customers who will need to pay more.

“We’re not advertising zero dollar,” said Brian Lobley, a senior vice president at Independence Blue Cross. But the company is promoting monthly premiums in the $20 to $30 range, he said.

That’s exactly what it is, and both parties are beholden to it.

“The bulk of these plans are so-called bronze policies, the least expensive available. They require people to pay the most in out-of-pocket costs, for doctor visits and other benefits like hospital stays.”

Yeah, that’s health insurance. Not.

And so far, there is NO WAY to check eligibility for these subsidized plans. That was another compromise the Dems rejected during the shutdown. It had originally been a part of Obamacare, but was stripped by the Destroyer in Chief.

We are witnessing a full fledged implementation of the Cloward & Piven strategy using such a huge segment of our economy that the only outcome will be the complete destruction of the insurance industry and a complete government takeover of our health care system. That is a BEST CASE scenario with the ultimate C&P strategy of Fundamentally changing the USA into a country as exactly described in the Communist Manifesto.

The deliberate screw ups on the web site, OUR PRESIDENT LYING and committing FRAUD, are aimed at screwing up the Insurance market such that there will not be enough people who buy into this crap sandwich to allow those businesses to stay in business. Notice one of the largest contributors to high medical costs, lawsuits, are not addressed by CACA © (”Can’t Afford Care Act”)

Once the vast majority of Insurance Companies are pushed into bankruptcy, the Cloward & Piven moment occurs with all the brain dead, low, no information voters will demand Washington to SOMETHING and they will not give a damn what that something means.

Everything which has come out of this administration is directly targeting citizens which politicians feel are only needed to fund their ruling elite lifestyle.

That was my thought, too. So what if these people get their premiums 100% subsidized if they still have to shell out thousands of dollars out of pocket to meet their plan’s deductible. It is still unaffordable!

“The New York Slimes: Pulling out all the stops to protect their Anointed One.”

Yes, the Times is certainly working overtime today to cover for Obama. The first story today was how Obama merely “mis-spoke” when he repeatedly lied about keeping coverage and doctors.

They are desperately trying to relieve themselves of any shred of credibility they currently possess.

All plans, including bronze policies, limit annual out-of-pocket costs to $6,350 for individuals and $12,700 for families. But insurers and advocates said out-of-pocket costs — even those under that limit — can be daunting to people with low incomes.

No duh!

Here's your free policy...except for the thousands of dollars in deductibles you have to pay if you actually need medical care!!

This is all a bunch of snake oil.

“FREE” policies you say? Tell that to the people who put in an extra 10 - 15 hours a week to pay for them in taxes.

There is no such thing as a “free” policy. The freeloaders elected the Marxist Kenyan so he could force those who are not too lazy to work to pay for the freeloaders’ healthcare. Free my ass. That my friend is communism.

If it gets any more “free,” we’ll all be in bankruptcy.

Exactly! & what happens when these people go to use their “free” insurance & realize what they have to cough up? I doubt they care about their credit so doctors/hospitals eat the cost & our premiums will continue to skyrocket. Cloward-Piven on steroids.
