Obama's approval HAS been lower in Gallup...I think his low is 37. But I do not recall the gap between his approval and disapproval being this wide.
His disapproval at 53 is pretty significant.

I think the 37 was in another poll a few weeks ago - but a well-known firm like Gallup at 40 is getting good....
