The militia was supposed to be subservient to the people “well-regulated” but the right of the people to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed”.

If asking for a driver’s license infringes on someone’s right to vote, then registering guns and requiring background checks certainly infringes on someone’s 2A rights.

Exactly. "Well regulated" applies to the militia "shall not be infringed" applies to the whole people. You would think an 'editor' would have a better command of the written language.
