Two French radio journalists were killed by gunmen in northern Mali on Saturday shortly after being abducted in the town of Kidal, French and Malian officials said.
The French government confirmed that 58-year old Claude Verlon and Ghislaine Dupont, 51, both journalists at RFI radio, had been found dead.

“From the information I have, their throats were cut. We don’t know for sure who took them, but the reports we are hearing indicate that they were Islamists,” said Lassana Camara, the deputy prefect of Tinessako.
Like US ambassadors. You can bet they were sexually defiled before being killed.
This Honky was in Western Mali in 2005 and Southern Mali earlier. No problems either area.
Senoufo people in the south, Tuareg & Moors in the NW.
Obviously, things in some areas have changed since then.
