Well, another way to put it is that Chris Christie pulled a Romney on Romney. Romney was busy doing the same thing to other Republican candidates throughout the last several presidential elections. And it was his operatives, lent to McCain, who betrayed Sarah Palin.

So, Romney certainly knows what he’s talking about.

Very well put. Christie should be starved of any support.

Chris Christie pulled a Romney on Romney

Are we saying that progressive republicans have no principles or core values just like their democrat friends??

The argument for Romney was that he would win a lot of moderates and independents. Some were even forecasting that he would win segments of democrats. In the end he could not win enough moderates/democrats, and he had trouble carrying a sizable segment of conservatives.

If a republican candidate wants to win an election, he/she better carry the vast majority of conservatives. They have to feel excited about the election.

Christie, talking about Newt, told Romney “Kick this guy’s ass. He’s a joke.”

Bush, talking about Perry, told Romney “Don’t worry about Perry. He’s a chickenshit.”
