Even though TV fantasy, even as a 5 year old I'd get so mad at Meathead for trying to make Archie look uneducated and stupid while for most of the shows run Meathead and Gloria leached off Archie's middle/working class paycheck. Always enjoyed when Archie got the last laugh, and even though the writers tried to make him out to be the dumb old out of touch white guy, his down to earth common sense is what reached the masses!
