Mark Levin railed against Sarvis for being a LINO...not being for lowering taxes, not having a plan to cut spending, not being against Obamacare, etc. Levin argued convincingly that Cuccinelli is not only more libertarian than Sarvis but might become the most libertarian governor in the country based on his positions.

I’ve been saying for years we need runoff elections, or instant runoff ballots, to prevent this 3rd party spoiling. The Dems are going to learn sooner or later that if they ask a few of their big donors to fund the libertarians as a spoiler, they can slaughter Repubs, and make us virtually extinct. This is only possible when someone is allowed to be elected without having received 50% of the vote. If there was no runoff between Cruz and Dewhurst, Dewhurst would have won with almost the same numbers as McAuliffe has now. The runoff forced Cruz and Dewhurst into a two-man race, which Cruz won handily, while Dewhurst’s numbers stayed where they were in the first round.

Introduce some form of runoff elections in most races, or the Republicans are going to be doomed to extinction even though a majority of voters would never elect that many Dems to power otherwise.

Thank’s for the clear thoughts. I agree a runoff would work in our favor in this case. Too bad the LINO is not a Nader type and suck off the leftie vote. This is one case where a visit from Guido to the LINO’s house would make one lose little sleep.
