Anyone I knew who held season tickets to the Giants or Jets gave them up when the new stadium was built; it was simply the worst timing imaginable...

...sounds like things are pretty grim in Jersey...i grew up in Union County, just north of the Watchung Mountain, a little town called New Providence...it was moderately affluent when I was there, and I understand it still is...

New Providence is still very nice; the Watchung Reservation has some great historical hiking spots. I’m between Newark & Jersey City, and it increasingly looks like Medellin. The economy here is in bad shape (has been for years), and now we’re pinning our hopes on a DeBlasio win in NYC to send more wealthy people and businesses from there to NJ. The best thing that happened to this area was David Dinkins serving as mayor of NYC for the same reasons.
