Medicare is a monthly premium, annual deductible, 20% co-pay, no dental or eye care for an aging population that spends more on failing eyes and teeth than youngsters. Plus Medicare enrollees when working paid Medicare withholding taxes.

There is no comparison between the 2 other than they are govt administrated. Medicare is hardly a freebie.

My point was simply that Medicaid is a back door to Single Payer, and Medicare is always used by the Left as a shining example of how Single Payer would work. I seem to recall some Rat saying that Medicare should be expanded to include all ages when the Healthcare “debate” was raging.
I wasn’t talking about Medicare being a gimme since it is funded by Medicare Taxes.
