We’re probably in 1773. The Boston tea party was 1774. Lexington and Concord were 1775.

And Yorktown was 1781. The Constitution was adopted 1788.(9th colony/state ratified it)

IOW it was 12 years from the Declaration to an infant USA. This will be a series of long battles.

Actually, the Boston Tea Party was on Dec. 16, 1773. The British government’s reaction (the so-called Intolerable Acts) happened early in 1774, and the First Continental Congress met later in 1774.
