A veteran in Plano, Texas, had his American flag outside his front door destroyed for the third time on Friday morning. And he’s sick of it.
Larry Lorance told CBS DFW that he installed a surveillance camera and successfully captured the violators on video — three punks roaming at night with nothing better to do. It’s not just about the damage to his property, it’s about respect, he said.
“A lot of men and women gave their lives for this flag,” the veteran said sternly. “As an American, and as a veteran, I was offended by that.”
“Not only did they tear it down. But, one of the gentleman stomped up and down on the flag,” he added. “I thought, ‘this is unacceptable! Where are the parents?’”
Despite his anger at the disrespectful act, Lorance said he didn’t report the three hoodlums to the Plano police because he doesn’t want them to have a criminal record for the rest of their lives. However, he gladly posted the video online to potentially use the incident to teach the kids a lesson.

Somehow, I think his chosen course of action is better than yours.
I would have wired the flag pole like a cattle fence. Incapacitate them (or at least numb them) until police arrived.
I was thinking something more along the lines of about a half dozen veterans hiding in the bushes with baseball bats.
Even a few shots, or gun shot noises...scare the hell out of them....

Self confession: As a yout, age 8 or so, some older pals convinced me it would be cool to steal the flag off the Mayor’s porch, who lived on our block. We wanted it for our “war HQ”, and treated it respectfully, but three boys marching down the block with a US Flag was detected on the “Mom Network” instantly. The consequences were swift and let us say, “memorable”, including personally apologizing to the Mayor (who hadn’t even realized the deed had been done). It also involved several days where standing was much more comfortable than sitting down...
I said the same thing. They close the Mall to Americans, but open it to illegal aliens. That is DELIBERATELY provocative.

I can just imagine the headline, instead. Sometimes the world does not conform to your fantasy.
I think a good solution would be electrically triggered flash bang grenades. For several seconds they would be blind and dazzled and deaf, and have the poop scared out of them. If you really want to scare them, have it also trigger a strong strobe light, which when they are that dazzled appears to be somebody firing a machine gun at you.
Once they’re outted, they’ll be back to do more damage out of spite.
In my youth...I did my share of dumb things...minor damage to property...etc...
Never would I have thought to damage or stomp on a usa flag....
These punks need to spend a couple of weekends at a VA hospital caring for our wounded vets....
Punks would get a new perspective....or a ass kicking....
