China is the only BRIC nation that might be willing and able to replace the US.

I believe the wheels have been set in motion to de-couple the dollar from oil settlements. The BRIC nations already have an agreement where they give out loans in their local currencies in a move away from the US. Dollar and the Euro. Also, China is investing 8.5B in a new oil refinery in Saudi Arabia to be operational next year. Here’s a link

Oil Refinery

So it would appear the Saudi’s have a new sugar daddy in the Chinese. The US has been irresponsible in it’s stewardship of the reserve currency with it’s abuse of the printing press and the rest of the world is sufficiently pissed off enough to do something about it.

Meanwhile back at home, Obama fiddles ( or is that plays golf?) while the US burns.

Think you have it backwards. They do want us to be muscular and since O is a limp noodle they know they can’t rely on us anymore after 60 good years....

Yes that is my take also, China is the only economy large enough, to replace the USA. And I totally agree that the USA in the last two administrations has been completely irresponsible in managing it's finances. I would imagine things will proceed slowly, my guess is that the Saudis will start by accepting both the dollar and the yuan. Perhaps on a percentage basis like 80% dollars and 20% yuan. The Saudis rightly see Iran and a mortal threat and if the USA can not be relied on to deal with the treat the Saudis will find someone that will. What is interesting is that puts China at serious odds with Russia. Perhaps Putin has out smarted himself? China is a much more dangerous adversary to Russia then the USA.

I will not miss being the worlds cop, we will be much poorer of course, but we can use a "timeout" to rebuild and regroup. The silver lining in all this will be the end of big government, we just can't afford it any longer. Another plus is that the rest of the world can deal with the crazies in the middle/near east for a change.

We have taken on the world’s burdens nonstop since 1945. We’re twenty years overdue setting down the unnatural responsibilities of the Cold War and returning to more sustainable existence.

The Saudi’s have been using the USA for years, but at least they were NOT on the side of The Muslim Brotherhood

I think they see that Obama is on the side of the Muslim Brotherhood, and they would soon be next

(who else is left in the 10 countries that would form ‘the caliphate?’)

Southern California would split from the UNION if that ever happened and would establish its own ties with the Saudis, just for the GASOLINE to keep L.A. on their freeways.

Great Idea!!!!

What is interesting is that puts China at serious odds with Russia.

They do make for strange bedfellows. Maybe their common thread is to unseat the dollar as the reserve currency.

I will not miss being the worlds cop, we will be much poorer of course, but we can use a "timeout" to rebuild and regroup.

Agreed. This is long over due.

But in this case, we are dealing with Muslims who want to STAY in power

And they saw what happened to Kaddafi and Mubarak when Obama helped the Muslim Brotherhood take over

More like get on his knees and bark like a dog...”

Kneel, Yes.

Barking, NO!

All of them are Muslims, so further details are unfit to post.

No, you probably don’t want to know, either.

You doubt Debka, but swallow everything the MSM says?

Now that Reuter is reporting it several days later you believe it?

Israel, Saudis speaking same language on Iran - Livni

“Both Israel and Saudi Arabia, a Sunni Muslim regional rival of Shi’ite Iran, fear that Tehran is developing atomic weapons and looking to change the balance of power in the Middle East. Iran says its nuclear activities are entirely peaceful.

Saudi Arabia has grown increasingly frustrated with perceived U.S. weakness in confronting Syria’s civil war and with Washington’s recent diplomatic engagement with Tehran - concerns Israel shares.”

http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/10/24/us-israel-saudi-diplomacy-idUSBRE99N0NO20131024

From Debka:

Israel and Saudi Arabia are coordinating policies to counter US détente with Iran

http://www.debka.com/article/23323/

“Associates of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Wednesday, Oct. 2, leaked word to the media that high-ranking Gulf emirate officials had recently visited Israel, signaling a further widening in the rift between Israel and President Barack Obama over his outreach to Tehran. These visits were in line with the ongoing exchanges Israel was holding with Saudi and Gulf representatives to align their actions for offsetting any potential American easing-up on Iran’s nuclear program.”
