Exclusive–Palin: Congress Has America Caught Up in 'Endless Extortion Scheme'
Big Government ^ | October 21, 2013 | Sarah Palin

America is suffering from an epic case of Armageddon fatigue.

Budget showdown, government shutdown, debt ceiling debacle—the stakes are real but the establishment seems to feed off the chaos they create as a means to foment fear and outrage and translate it into campaign donations for themselves.

Look closely and you’ll see that something seismic is going on under the surface of the manufactured chaos in D.C.

Washington has morphed into an extortion racket, a place where members of the permanent political class threaten to inflict legislative and regulatory pain to extract campaign donations that they can then siphon into the pockets of themselves and their family members.

In a new book featured this Sunday on 60 Minutes titled Extortion: How Politicians Extract Your Money, Buy Votes, and Line Their Own Pockets, Peter Schweizer explains how Washington politicians use a set of mafia-style legislative tactics to extort people and industries into donating to them out of fear of political and legal reprisals.

Schweizer interviewed former Chairman of Apache Corporation Ray Plank. Plank said campaign cash and lobbying contracts now function as “protection money” to keep lawmakers and regulators from going after you.

BINGO! If Sarah writes this stuff hersel, she truly is Reaganesque. At least analytically, maybe better.

I have wondered if she has her own personal Charles Schlesinger to write stuff for her- simply because it is so good.

Jurys still out but the style seems to be right in line and consistent with her off the cuff speaking and in person she sure seems to be able handle un rehearsed intellectual heavy lifting so I think it's probably her for real.

If not she sure knows how to pick the right talented advisers and listen to them which is even more important than writing ability.

Sarah has the all political talent of Bill Clinton with none of the dysfunction. She is one of the best natural politicians of her generation.

Yeah, she’s a girl.

How could she be that smart?

Someone needs to deliver us from this evil. Conservatives need a united voice.

I’d rather understand. What was your point? And I’m not being antagonistic.

I'm more inclined to go with she's a Republican and a Politician, so how could se be that smart.

Being a girl, however, is a big problem for her and the main reason she is hated and ridiculed by the Democrats and the rest of the Professional Left in media, academia ...and so on..

She is everything that the Hillary Clintons and the rest of the femminazis of the world fancy themselves to be - but are not.

They are poseurs - Palin’s the real deal and all they aspire to be but are not. They know they never will be no matter how hard they try and it makes them crazy

Posters that question Palin’s intelligence and political knowledge for what reason?

The whole article just screams Palin, it’s her style.

She is fiercely independent (which is one of the reasons she did not run for Prez last cycle), like Jim Robinson, and does not need anyone to write an article like this for her.

Plus you can bet she does a bunch of research, she understands very well about the book of which she speaks, and the interview with 60 minutes.

I’m sure when she runs for Office (Prez, VP, Senator who knows?) that she will have some writers, or maybe she does now, but the finished prouduct will be/is her.

There are those at this site that are here to undermine Sarah Palin, not that any of those on this thread are of that ilk but who knows?

Her degree is in journalism.
Rest assured she writes her own articles and columns.

LOL at your first sentence...

(She did show us when in office in Alaska that she is not partisan when evil needs to be rooted out. I think she is a conservative first, then a Republican/Politician)

The rest of what you said...you betcha!

There were no FIVE families, there were SIX - that six being the Head Chairman: the U.S. Government which really is bigger than U.S. Steel!
