Obama's two campaign and OFA websites were state-of-the-art. I mean, they were top-notch and even I will concede they were brilliantly done with the optics. You know he had the real best and brightest design these sites.
Fast forward to now. The signature bill he signed that is the Holy Grail for leftists has a website that clearly doesn't work. Remember folks, this is the Holy Grail for the Left. They should have gotten this up and running as soon as Roberts pulled something from his ass and made this into a tax.
It's clear that all of this is designed to fail. Watch what happens. The media will now run sob stories about how people can't sign up and have no health insurance and have to run to the "greedy" private insurance for coverage. And then there will be the drumbeat for single-payer, just as Sen Reid called for.
You might be right, but I think the simple fact is that Obama is a saleman of pie in the sky, not a baker. The campaign handlers did not run the ObamaCare operation — US government commissars did, and they are simply incompetent.
In any event, this government’s demonstrated failure to even create an e-commerce website to handle insurance purchases for a paltry 15% of the population (by Obama magic, it’s not 40% anymore) hardly makes a case for letting government handle every item of healthcare for 100% of the population. The ObamaCare fiasco should have destroyed single-payer as a concept for a generation.
ObamaCare serves the Democrat’s plan to maximize the number of people dependent on government for subsidies. Simply vote Democrat to continue getting your $250/month handout. Unlike single-payer, ObamaCare is not designed to reduce costs, but to increase them. The higher the cost of coverage, the more people will enter the subsidy game, which will also be a disincentive to work/earn more. Among other things, ObamaCare is a scheme to buy Democrat votes with public debt; no wonder registering to vote is part of this “health insurance” program.
