Wallace intro: ... the Republicans lick their wounds and look for a new strategy.

Looks like Rubio is trying to do a media rehab tour. He finally surfaced after weeks of silence following the Senate amnesty vote.

Now, he is back, trying to appear conservative, anti-big government, anti-spending, anti-the-new-normal.

I will not trust Rubio ever again.

Amnesty ain’t gonna happen and the politicos know this.

We gave ten million illegals amnesty back in Reagan’s term and we were told it would never happen again.

Now we’re not buying their story and ain’t going there again.

Rubio took a chance but he was wrong.

He’s out of my radar, not to be trusted.

Our immigration debacle is due to the political elite failing governing 101...PROTECT YOUR BORDERS.

And the American people ain’t going to buy their story anymore.

Damn they hate that.

Rubio didn't help himself with conservatives today. He foolishly said he supports McConnell for reelection over his Rep primary challengers instead of just saying it was up to the people of Kentucky.

Rubio tried to do a verbal tap dance on immigration reform and distancing himself somewhat from his own bill. Rubio's true colors are showing. He is an establishment politician. The very fact that he would join McCain and Graham on amnesty is an indication of where he stands and his judgment.

Every time I hear Rubio say that we have a "de facto amnesty now," my blood pressure goes up. If we had a de facto amnesty, then illegal aliens could work without and obstacles; they could receive SS cards; they could travel freely between the US and their home countries; they could receive a green card and eventual citizenship; and on and on. There is no de facto amnesty.

John McCain is the one who made up the term "de facto amnesty" during his 2009 campaign.
