I do think the article does expose the spirit that BHO has spread upon the land, it's the hideous gray fog of socialism, the one that says give up, it's hopeless.
It's a spirit we have to fight, both personally and as a group. I think that's the message to take away here.
Yes. You’re right. I see plenty of good, moral people around me. Americans aren’t all statist drones. Consider the Steven Lonegan senate race. Booker received slightly more than 700,000 votes, but Lonegan received nearly 600,000 votes. This was in New Jersey which is supposedly and ultra-blue stronghold. Even in this bluest of blue states, about 45% of the voters voted AGAINST big government (Lonegan didn’t hide the fact that he was a staunch conservative, i.e. opponent of Obamacare, etc.)
So it’s really that close. The left may hold a lot of cards, but we’re not out by a long shot. Even if the Democrats manage to fundamentally transform America, conservatives will do fine. We’re may be self reliant during normal times, but we’re also the type of people who come together during crises. Conservatives help each other. Liberals run to government for their solutions.
What the Democrats don’t know is we win this either way. They can’t produce what they promise, and if they succeed in bankrupting the country, conservatives will pick up the pieces like we’ve always done. Those who are dependent on EBT cards or are highly paid bureaucrats living in the fantasy land that’s D.C.? Eh, they’re not likely to thrive in their brave new (dysfunctional) world. Shoot. The EBT holders aren’t exactly thriving right now.
